Thumbs up Tip: Fairings / West Systems Epoxy 'how-to's'

See http://www.westsystem.com/ss/how-to-publications/

002-740 Final Fairing and Finishing is particularly useful.

Their free monthly magazine Epoxyworks is online at:http://www.epoxyworks.com/

Subscriptions are free. While articles are mostly about boats, there are many useful tips. It's a fav of mine.

Finally, in their safety info, I was surprised that they suggest waiting 2-3 days before sanding to avoid serious issues in your lungs.

Default epoxy

epoxy can be some nasty stuff. especially if you are fair skinned. like blondes and redheads. I have seen some nasty allergic reations over the years. dont keep getting it on your skin and if you do, don't wash it off with acetone! it will dillute it and drive it into your skin. wash with soap and water. gojo works really well. when its cured however its pretty benign. you still want wear a dust mask when sanding. of course you should do that with anything.
happy building
Erik

I've been learning while making my first parts, using the West System.
Plus Dan H and others tips on this forum and a bit of web surfing.
So far, so good, and getting better + faster with each part as I gain experience.
