Default Mag alternative for 320-2HAD

I have a 320-2HAD in my RV -6A. It uses the D4RN-2021 dual bendix mag. Since I have an electronic ignition and only run one side of the dual mag I was wondering if anyone knows of a single 4 cyl mag with impulse coupling I could use in its place? It doesnt make sense to have a dual mag when I am only using 1/2 of it. Thanks in advance for your help.

George, take a look at this thread - http://www.vansairforce.com/communit...light=dual+mag

I ended up buying an overhauled d3000 mag even though I'm in the same boat. One lightspeed and half of the mag. When I have more time to experiment I may try the single mag route.

If you give it a try please post back and let us know how it worked out.

Default 0320-2HAD Mag

Thanks andy, I just received an email from a mag shop in Tulsa claiming the 10-51360-37 BENDIX IMPULSE MAGNETO should fit. I waiting to hear from another shop, it would be great if their suggestions are the same.
