Wire removal?
I have a GNS 430 and no longer am using the OBS/resolver wires out of it ( removed some equipment). Can I just leave the wires connector (with all the wires in it) just tied up behind the panel, or do I need to remove them from the radio (430)?
I would like to leave them if it doesn't matter, so that I could use them again if I ever bought another head that would use them.

If it were my a/c, I would leave them, but disconnect them from the 430.

Kent,
If you are going to leave them in place, add a label tag so you know what they were used for when you install new equipment five years from now.

I thought about doing it, but then forgot to do it last time I was under the panel cleaning up.
Oh my aching back, under I go again.

I would think it would be a lot easier to just tie up the connector that goes to the back of the CDI. If you are going to sell the CDI, it would be easier to buy a new connector to go with the unit.
digging into the 430 harness is not fun.
