Default canoe alum.

what alloy do they use in the construction of the bare alum. ( UN PRIMED !!!!) canoes ? I am building an 8 and thinking no more primer ( getting started on the Fuselage.

I have an unprimed 1958 Cessna 172. It's fine. A little Boeshield or ACF goes a long way.
