Default Rolled the "Canoe"!

This isn't a Hollywood quality production, but I'm glad to have this milestone on video. The 26-second clip shows Daniel helping me roll it over.

My friend Kevin Lane (flying RV-6A) cracked me up. He says "your first roll! Can't call it an aileron roll because there aren't any ailerons on yet."

Thanks to my daughter-in-law Andria for the camera work and to Daniel for helping me! And thanks to my sons Daniel, Luke, and Paul for the help with riveting, and to Jamie's son Jesse. Now... it' back to work...

Default Way to go!

I to remember the eventfull day when the wife and I flipped the canoe on our 6A. That was over 12 years ago but the memory is still alive. Keep pounding those rivits, you still have a long way to go.

Bruce,

Yes, a memorable moment--keep it going.

BTW - that's only a half-roll.

Cheers,
Tracy.

You're right, Tracy. I stand corrected. LOL! It's a half roll, alright.

Thanks, Gary! I know I have a long way to go, so I'll not bask in the moment and waste any time. I'll keep pluggin' away. I'm really looking forward to seeing you and the Mills next week!
