Smile Moontown Airport Fly In

I posted some photos of the August Moontown Fly-In in a Picasa album.

Moontown hosts a very good fly-in breakfast every 3rd Saturday and in September (on the 19th) they will host their ANNUAL FLY-IN. Mark it on your calendar!

Default Moontown

Don, nice pictures.
The designated RV parking area was filled before 8:00am. The 19th should have several more attending. I guess I'll be getting up a little earlier to get into the preferred parking area. I hope everyone doesn't get the same idea.

I've been to the breakfast a number of times.

Its a good monthly get together.

But, I'm not sure I would refer to the RV parking area as "preferred parking"

Its kinda down in a hole and hard to get in and hard to get out.

I would much rather park with the normal populace along the flight line.

They fixed the hole going in to the RV parking area. I no longer wonder if it will rip the tailwheel off when entering.

The latest obstacle going in to Moontown seems to be an RV-9 doing a 360 on final and then going around, all with with traffic (me) on base behind them but soon to be directly over them.

It is a great breakfast though. Still one of my favorites.

Here's the link for the annual fly in at Moontown. This is on the EAA Chapter 190 web site.
