Hi Tom....
...a stand made of 2 X 4's works well and cheap to build. Build two upside-down Tees and interconnect them top and bottom with 2 X 4's, preferably on rollers as well. Come up about two feet with other 2 X 4's from the outboard ends of the tees. Attach a piece of carpet about 6-8 inches wide to the top of the tees and the two shorter pieces of 2 X 4 coming up from the outer ends and let the carpet droop into a saddle for the wings..it'll form to the leading edges with no scuffing or scratching.
