Just so you know, there are 302 rivets in the bottom outer skin of a 7. (Probably the same on an 8) I just finished prepping the two skins, drilling, deburring, dimpling in my 105 degree hangar

So, there's another piece of information for your encyclopedia of useless knowledge.

You wanna talk about counting rivets??? I can tell you how many there are in the tail...wings...and fuselage!

I know how many are in an RV-4 and I laid out, drilled, deburred, dimpled, and drove every one of them.

Well, I'm probably about 98% done with riveting, and my count as of tonight in my 7 is 15,564...still have the top skin in front of the tip up to do, and a few other misc. things...
