Default Shipping completed parts

Anyone have any experience with shipping a completed tail part? How did you package it? Cost? Insurance?

Thanks.

I once shipped an entire completed empennage. I built a plywood box for it, used foam and strapping to secure the parts, and sent it off with fingers crossed.

No problems.

At the time (10 years ago) it didn't seem too expensive, although I did not insure it as "airplane parts", which would have jacked the cost way up.
