Bob Archer Antennas

I have an Archer Model 1 in wingtip of my -8. I am having interference problems from HID lighting ballasts mounted in close proximity. I was going to buy a new one and mount it further aft in hopes that would minimize the interference issue. Then I saw a different Archer Nav antenna, the Model 7 on Spruce's website. It appears to have a little better specs than the model 1. Does anyone have experience with the model 7? Will it fit in a late style (W715-1) wingtip? Any feedback on performance?
