Avoid Kelly Aerospace overhauls.... I know Spruce sells Avstar's, which seem to be alright.

oxuser, or anyone else, can you elaborate on why these overhauls should be avoided?

Default I'm going to send mine directly to Avstar

I'm in the process of rebuilding my O-320 Lycoming and will be sending my carb directly to Avstar in Florida. I've been communicating with Eric there.

Dayton,

AvStar is who overhauled the carb on my O-290 when no one else could. It came back repainted and looking brand new and worked perfect right out of the box.

They can overhaul your current carb or exchange it, your call. The cost is right around $640 plus S&H, at least that is what they quoted for the upcoming overhaul of my MA3 since it took a hit in my taxi incident.

Default New Carb!

Hi All
I just installed a fresh Avstar overhauled Carburetor on my -4 last night. Is there anything I should adjust before other than, throttle and mixture throw?
