Pulsar NS90 Intro at Oshkosh
We will be introducing our Pulsar NS90 product at Oshkosh that is designed for the RV wingtip cutout. Please stop by booth 1133 in hangar A or out in the North Aircraft Exhibition area space 671 (near Kitfox and Velocity) to see this new product in person.
The Pulsar NS90's sell for $849.95 a pair but we will have a 15% discount at Oshkosh which means they will be selling for $722.45 for the pair (red and green). The strobes meet the 400 effective candela FAA requirement.
AeroLEDs will also be presenting a forum on LED Lighting for Aircraft on July 27 at 2:30 pm at Honda Pavilion 009.

I hope to have a pair of these in my new wing tips on my -8 which will arrive at OSH on Sunday. Still some work left to do on the tips, and they won't be painted, but hope to reveive my NS90's early next week and get them mounted before the show. I already have a Suntail on the rudder fairing and it is AWESOME!!

Jim,
We are bulding units this week so we should have some to ship to you next week. The Pulsar strobe looks the same as the Suntail.

Prices
Hey Dean.
A question for you i think a bunch of people might be concerned about and would be a big help. Especially as this is new and hopefully sells well.
With your other offering, you had your price.. and then ACS sold it MUCH cheaper. I have no issue with anyone making money, but...if you offer it at x -15% and its around the corner or on a website a week later for x-40%, that really leaves a bad taste in a buyers mouth. I understand you have to protect distributors, but maybe you NOT selling direct would be a solution. I would be happy to buy your products but the diff last year was HUGE between the prices on the exact same product.

Hi Rick,
ACS won't be selling our strobes at a deep discount... we have talked with them about that issue.
Van's will be selling our products, and they will have a demo panel of our products at their booth. Stein will also be selling our products, and so will Lockwood.
We welcome you to visit with any of our distributors or resellers, and if you prefer to buy from them, we are OK with that. We want them to be successful with our products.
We may decide to stop selling direct in the near future if we get enough success with our distributors. We would actually prefer to go that route since it makes our jobs easier (design/build/test/ship) without having the retail sales task added on. We are an engineering company, and want to keep our focus on that arena.

Actually...
I was happier with the x-40% - kind of hoped you would match it?
Looking forward to seeing them up close. Good work. Cya in a week and a half.

Van's comments
The RVator states 'Prices are still being finalized, but will be competitive with the Whelen systems.'
Whelen LN SYS6 - pos+strobes, tail+ strobe, power supply, installation kit (pins and shielded wire) = $825.
Suntail + Pulsar = $1245
50% premium isn't my definition of competitive.
Even with a 15% discount it's still over a grand.
The 'distasteful' ACS discount makes it reasonable.
I really want to go here, but the value doesn't match the price premium.
As always, just my opinion, but I'm a potential customer, and currently an unused Whelen-system owner; I expect I'm part of the target market.
