Default Installing Cherry Max Rivets

This seems like a stupid question, but I've been told there is no such thing.

Do I need a special tool to install Cherry Max rivets, or will a standard pop rivet tool be sufficient?

I've got QB wings and to install the flap gap faring, you need to install cherry max at the wing root. I have the rivets with the kit, I just don't know if there is some special way to install them.

Thanks.

Your standard puller will (should) work. I've used mine to set a few CherryMax rivets. Just make sure you keep it aligned straight on, CM rivets are unforgiving in that regard.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping, since I only have 6 total to install.

Make sure they are CherryMax and not CherryLocs that do need a special nose in the puller to install the locking collars on the rivet stem when set. The newer CherryMax have their own special washers on the stem that set the collar and then fall away. Also make sure that they are the corrrect grip length. To long or too short and they won't lock properly.
