Good Reference Books?

My 7a tail is done so while I am waiting for my QB 7a to finally arrive, I thought I would try to get up to speed on some of the building skills I will need when I start the wings and fuse. Are there any good A & P text books anyone would recommend that cover basics such as fluid lines, wiring, brakes, engine components etc. I have seen a lot of references to the Jeppesen A&P Technician General Textbook. Thoughts or recommendations? Are they worth it? (My wife says that my solution to any problem is to throw a book at it). Thanks !

AC 65-15A, ADVISORY CIRCULAR, AIRFRAME & POWERPLANT MECHANICS AIRFRAME HANDBOOK (1976)., This handbook was developed and first printed in 1972 as one of a series of three handbooks for persons preparing for certification as an airframe or powerplant mechanic.
