Removing a decal
How difficult is it to remove a decal once it has been mounted and is dry on a painted surface?
I have a decal someone gave me and I would like to put it on my VS and live with it for awhile to see if I like it.
The decal is vinyl and goes on with water...
Thanks

Decal Removal
Apply a bit of heat with a heat gun/hair dryer and peel. Only thing remaining will be the spot with no sun fading.
Cheers

Decal Removal
WD-40 will dissolve any sticky residue left behind.

Use a hair dryer to soften the glue on the sticker. A heat gun would work, but if you're a tad careless, oops, ruined paint.
WD-40 or any of the citrus based cleaners will remove leftover adhesive residue.

Speaking of decals
Now here is a thread hijack.
Went to a fly-in breakfast at Hobbs, NM this morning. There were a lot of RVs, mostly from Texas. I chatted with a couple that were on their very first cross-country flight after the test period. They are from Texas.
A buddy remarked that there was no "Republic of Texas," "Texas" or even a Lone Star sticker or decal anywhere in evidence on this aircraft. I asked them about that and they, without even acting ashamed, indicated they had no plans to add such a sticker.

We carry a graphics adhesive remover that is safe to use, even on plexiglas. It removes all sorts of gooey stuff and even smells pleasant.

If you are referring to my "United States of Texas" decals, please refrain from calling it "Republic of Texas". These are 2 TOTALLY different insinuations. The "United States of Texas" is in NO WAY affiliated with the "Republic of Texas" organization who are somewhat radical in their philosophy.
BTW, The U.S. of Texas decals are not limited to Texans. I have sold them to people in several states including Alaska. I even sold one set to a guy from Australia at Sun-N-Fun.
