Default A couple painting tips

A friend passed on these ideas today:

1. As you prep the plane, use your spray gun to apply cleaner, acid etch or whatever--you get practice with spraying, keeping the gun distance consistent, getting the 50% overlap, etc.

2. At a local auto paint store, they usually have several cans of reject paint--didn't get the color quite right or some other problem. They charge a fraction of the normal price. Find the same kind of paint you want to use and practice with it on whatever--an old tractor, propane tank, junker car, etc.
