Default Alternator 101

In looking for a voltage regulator I ran across this web page and thought it might be useful for those of us trying to understand just how these little contraptions work

Default Alternators for your RV

Most of you probably already know that if you ask the Advanced Auto parts store for a alternator to fit your 1988 Suzuk Samuri you get a internal self regulated 60 amp auto alternator with the old V belt pulley already mounted. They're rated RPM is 6000 at 60amps 12VDC. The walk out price is $79.00 exchange. They also bolt directly onto the Lyc engine. Mine seems to work fine. You might want to add on some voltage over/ under control .
