Default Scratchy Bose

My Bose is very scratchy when transmiting, recieves clear. Bose has sent me a new mike, no luck. My Lightspeed in same jacks is not effected, so I do not think it is my panel. Has anybody else had this problem? Bose is three months old, all worked fine up to a couple of weeks ago. Any ideas out there? Hope this is correct area to post

Default What radio are you using?

I have Icom 200 and both headsets. Exactly the same problem. Turned down the mike gain and the side tone, works great now!

I agree with Andrew, when comparing a Zulu headset to a Bose, the mike gain on the Bose is MUCH higher. I have a basic two place intercom and when I use my Zulu (pilot side) and the passenger uses a Bose, I cannot get the comon squelch or volume adjusted properly because the Bose mike gain is so great compared to the Zulu. The tone quality of the Bose in that situation is also distorted because it over drives the intercom and if I turn the intercom gain down to where it is not distorted, the Zulu mike volume is too low.
