Default Location of XM Receiver w/ Bluetooth

I am unfamiliar with bluetooth. Would I get a good signal exchange if I mounted the XM receiver in the baggage compartment of my RV-6A? Trying to avoid too much clutter on the IP.

Larry:

That is where I have mine mounted and have had no issues with it. My XM antenna as well as the GPS unit for my AnyWheremap system is mounted on my glareshield, and the XM receiver is mounted on the floor of my baggage area. I just have a couple of velcro strips on the bottom of the receiver that attaches to the carpet in the baggage compartment.

Go for it. Had mine under the cockpit floor and no issues. Metal does not block the signal.
