Wink ordered my first kit today empennage Michigan

Man am I excited I went for a ride in the 12 at Sun N FUN and had to do it.

Anyother guys in Michigan building the 12?? I am sure I will need lots of help this is my FIRST attempt at building.

I am in the Flint Michigan area

Any advice on getting the shop together for this? I did order the tool kit from Avery Tools today also but am wondering about work bench space needed and anyother tools I might need to have.

Thanks for any help on this

Default Workbench hint

...use the shipping crate as a workbench...and read the other related posts in regards to construction.
Best of Luck, and read the directions thoroughly

Welcome. You will love the kit. It is very well engineered. Suggest scrolling back thru the posts on this forum. You will find a number of threads that suggest various items to procure for the builder just beginning. I'd add two additional countersink cages to the Avery kit. Will save you a lot of time.

Default Welcome Paul!

You will find this forum invaluable. Wherever you have a question just float it out here and you will get really good answers in a very short time from some VERY knowledgeable people.

Check my workbenches at: http://www.mykitlog.com/users/displa...og=73553&row=6

They work really well, especiallly the ability to reconfigure into various sizes/shapes.

John
