Default Garmin gns 430 trouble shooting
I have a 430 that is not aquiring satellites and has a message (not recieving input data on 232 channel 1). The Coax to the antenna is good, and have tried swapping the unit. Was wondering if anyone has any ideas/suggestions.

try another antenna. i had one go bad.

2 problems

1- As he said, try another antenna or coax or connectors

2- What is on channel 1 RS232 input...? Efis, Xponder, ....?

Is it a 430 or a 430W?

If it's a 430W, how long is the coax?

What is wired to that RS-232 port that is showing no data?

Can't really troubleshoot much until we know the above answers...
