Default flap hinge

When you attach the flap hinge to the wing your left with about 3 inches of hinge hanging out in space on the inboard end. How have others dealt with this.

Cut off the excess hinge?

Add a nutplate and spacer when attaching wing to the fuse?

Do nothing?

Thanks

Bill,

Match the wing/flap hinge half length with the hinge half length you previously attached to the flap. NOTE: Some builders report short e.d. on the wing side when attempting to use the kit supplied hinge. To address that problem, some builders attach a slightly wider hinge half to the wing. My kit supplied hinge material worked just fine. YMMV.
