Default Stick grips common point wiring?

This morning I wired the stick grips.
I have Tosten grips with external Ray Allen relay (RAC-2), in order to have electric elevator dual control.

I will use of course the hat switch for elevator trim, then trigger (PTT), index (autopilot disconnect) and right button (maybe radio flip-flop).

I understood that wires from both grips have first to join together and then proceed to the appropriate place (i.e.: RAC-2, radios, etc...). Am I right? Or shall I expect something wrong at the end of the wiring process?

Thanks.
