Thinking about replacing steam guages with a Dynon D100 in a RV6. Working on the design for the subpanel but wondering about plumbing the aoa tubing through an already complete and flying aircraft. Seems like the pitot retrofit will be the most challenging part of the install. Since I didn't build the aircraft I am not familiar enough with the wing structure to determine the best method to route the tubing and replace the pitot. Any ideas. I am thinking about a 20 lb. weight savings by xing the vacuum system and the two gyros. Don't want to start cutting until its all planned out!

Take the wing tip off and see if the builder installed conduit in the wing for the wire runs. If so then it should be "relatively" easy. If not, the job is going to be much harder, but not impossible. Find that out first because HOW you do it is going to be much different with/without the conduit.
