Default Garmin 496 / 495 different antenna's - Why?
I been comparing feature/functions of the 496 & 495. The 496 uses a GMA 30A "Smart Antenna" and the 495 uses a GA 26C antenna.

Does any one know why they use different antenna and what the functions difference are between the antennas?

I think it is because XM runs on the 496 and NOT 495. I have the 30A with my 496 and xm wx and radio.
