Default Slick mag timing tip

Don't know if this is a building tip or Maintenance tip, so I decided to drop it here.

If you don't have the Official Slick Timing Pin, a pop rivet works well.

If you use a pop rivet with an aluminum mandrel (?) (the 'nail'), it's much less likely to damage the rotor gear when you forget to pull it out. At least that's what I heard....

I think it is more important ... to, don't forget to pull it out! The potential for damage isn't pretty. <chuckle> Really, if you've seen the insides of these things (magnetos), they seem quite fragile. <chuckle again>
