Failed XM WX Antenna/ 496 settings also
i had a xm wx antenna for 496 fail.garmin said the cord is prone to failure if bent a lot. $110 repair fee. i am posting pic of my 496 page with my settings. the right column is the wx info. the bottom left is nearest vortac for flight following info. the next pic is flight extention line. it can be turned on from map page. menu, set up map, scroll right to this page and set preference. great flying

Hi Turbo - sorry about your expensive antenna wire.
Thanks for posting the 496 settings. I use the extension line (I like it shown in time, where I'll be in 1-5 mintues). I've never seen the weather data like that... do you know where it gets the data? Nearest METAR? Doesn't look like winds aloft, is it?

i believe it comes from the closest metar. love my 496.
