Distance between tubing supports
Does anyone have a reference for the maximum allowable distance between aluminum tubing supports? I didn't see it during a quick read of AC 43.
Thanks for the help,

More info please
What kind, and size tubing are you asking about???
What is its function, I.E., brake line, gas line, pitot line???
My elevator pushrod is alum tubing, over 8' long, and not supported except at the ends.
Yes, extreme case, but hopefully you see my point.

Tubing is 5052-O 1/2" OD, .049" wall. Service is hydraulic tubing at 1200psi.
This is a certified application, so it would be nice to have a reference to refer back to.
Thanks,

...every 19 inches (maximum) for 1/2 inch alum. tubing per FAA AC 65-9A. It's in Figure 5-24.
The document is on-line at the FAA web site, you probably should print out the table and give it to your IA for the 337.

Found the answer in Fig. 5-24 of AC 65-9A (page 119).
For 1/2" OD aluminum tubing, the maximum spacing of clamps is 19".
For future ref (OD, spacing)
1/8, 9.5"
3/16, 12"
1/4, 13.5"
5/16, 15"
3/8, 16.5"
1/2, 19"
