Cudos to Grove!
Thought I had a problem with my Grove Brakes torque plate (the part that the caliper pins slide into. They sent me a free replacement two way postage included. No problemo.
The problem turned out to be a warped Vans weldment - the one that bolts to the gear leg and carries the torque plate and inner wheel pant bracket. If you think you have a problem with the torque plate, check the Vans weldment first. In my case, the torque plate "rocked" a little when held in place against the Vans weldment. This was enough to tweek (Official Mechanical Engineering Term) the torque plate so that the caliper pins wouldn't fit after the bolts were made up. A vice and hammer was all that was required...
