Default Rocket Steering Link, Wayne Hadath and Just Plane Works, Inc.

Just wanted to put a shout out and say thanks to Wayne Hadath for his very friendly and superb customer support on his Rocket Steering Link.

I bought my Super Six flying, and it had a Rocket Steering Link when I bought it. I don't know when it was installed, but the airplane had 455 hours when I bought it, and now has 555 hours on it. After taxiing out for fuel recently, I found the link broken where the front (s-shaped) connecting rod meets the cylinder. Wayne and I are pretty sure the unit was a very early version (it did not have the rubber o-ring shock absorber on the front rod-end bearing), and improvements have been made since, so the links are very reliable (and mine had given great service up to this point).

Wayne was great to talk with on the phone, had some great advice and thoughts, and he replaced my link at a substantial discount, even though I was not the original purchaser of the link! Totally unexpected, but very, very much appreciated! Thanks Wayne!

Great product, great service and support, and a friendly voice on the other end of the phone...doesn't get much better than that!

You can see Wayne's Rocket Steering Link at:

Vince Frazier also markets Wayne's RS Link on his website at:

http://www.flyboyaccessories.com/sto...roducts_id=242

Vince even has a picture of my Flyboy Accessories tailwheel and Wayne's RS Link on that page!

Thanks again Wayne! The bird is back in the air with the new and improved Rocket Steering Link keeping me on the centerline!!

Cheers,
Bob

Default I will never have a tail wheel but ...

I am not surprised that Wayne is pleasant to deal with. I have flown in several races with him and his Ontario buddy Tom Martin. I don't believe I have ever met nicer people than these two Rocket flying Canadians.

Yup.....Wayne is as good as they come. I bought a 'slightly used' (advertised as 10hrs) steering link from Doug's classifieds a few months ago. When it arrived it had a very obvious 'kink' in one end and the protective heat shrink was well worn . There was no way I would have put the steering link on my airplane as it had been damaged (kinked).....don't ask how cause I have no idea. I called Wayne and he sent me a brand spankin' new one right off the shelf.

Again.....they don't come any better than Wayne Haddath and his steering links are just what the Doctor ordered .

Why didn't you call me an tell me it was bent? I had no idea, really. I apologize for the inconvenience and will send you a check for the full amount ($100) you paid me.

Also, I don't appreciate you impuning my integrity with the emphasis you placed on "very obvious". You are drawing a conclusion without even bothering to talk to me about it. Trust me, I don't need the money that bad. It had been sitting on my shelf for two years and I just grabbed it and put it in the box. It "really" had only been on my Rocket for 10-15 filight hours. I should have looked at it and verified that it was okay but I thought it was virtually brand new. My bad.
