Default Went to Mecca this week...

I was fortunate enough to be in the Portland area this week on Business and was able to "break free" to take the VANS tours (Rob). Had a great time and got to take the Blue and Yellow RV-10 out for a short flight with Ken.

Wow - 1st time in an RV-10 flying that is. It's exactly what I expected with one exception - I expected power but Ken and I did a few little things that showed me just the power this plane has. Anyone thinking they need more than 260hp (van strongly recommended limit) I am not sure I can understand why?

This plane just flat out goes and gets there fast - more than the speed - it was the acceleration from a slow flight of 100-110 knots to wide open - it literally leaped forward and pinned you in your seat.

That was unexpected...

Anyway - Thanks VANS for a great time and thx Portland for some good weather!

M.
