Default 14" spinner install on a -6/-7/-9?

Has anyone installed a 14" spinner on a -6, -7, or a -9? I have an absolutely beautiful polished spinner in my possession, but the diameter is 1" larger than the standard Van's fiberglass spinner. I see the James cowl needs a 14" spinner for a -10, but it looks like the 13" is recommended for the others. The Hartzell application guide lists this specific spinner for a -6, and Van's lists the 6/7/9 as all having the same size spinner.

I haven't taken it out to the hangar yet to see how it will fit, but I figured I'd ask here to see if anyone had installed one. A lot of build up required?

I have the fiberglass spinner fit up already (been flying it for a while now) -- should I scrap the polished spinner and just keep what I have now???

Thanks in advance for the help!

Rob
