Default Breaking loose fuel sealant

A while ago I installed the vertical air induction sump with the gasket and fuel sealant to the bottom of the sump.
I now need to remove the vertical induction unit to install the throttle cable mounting bracket that I gave no thought to when doing the original install.
Any ideas how to break the seal without causing damage to the sump or induction unit?
