GNC300XL antenna cable - what cable can I use?

Do I have to use the Garmin recommended antenna cable for the GPS and COM or can I use after marker cable. Thank you.

but I have been running a GNC250 and 250XL (basically the same radio as the 300XL) for quite a number of years using good quality RG-58 and have had no problems whatsoever. It is perfectly fine for the lengths we use.

RG-58 will work, most professional shops will only use RG-400, or sometimes RG-142.
