Default Skis?

Just curious - anybody operating any type of RV on skis? We get about 2 inches of snow a year here in Georgia, so the info won't do me any good other than satifying my curious mind.

But you never know when you might find yourself in Maine or Minnesota

I've seen pictures (even in an RVator or two) of at least one RV-4 with skis in Norway. Haven't seen or heard of them on any other model though.

Default Check out these skis

I'm going to add skis to my Bushcaddy. Check these out: http://www.datumair.com/

They can be raised and lowered via an electric motor.

Here's a Youtube video of a Cub taking off from an airport and landing on a glacier with the Datumair skis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBwtzQO3pHo

I live in the Northeast so should get some fun out of them. I don't see why they couldn't be mounted on an RV.

Default Two guys....

......have built RV's on floats already, so go for it. Just be sure to have some sort of system that holds the tips angled slightly up.

Regards,
