Default Garmin 695/6 Software Updates

I finally claimed my free Jeppesen database update after the Jan 8 revision date and much to my surprise I had to download and install two garmin updates that are software changes - not database. Version 2.2 and 2.5. Having worked in an environment where software configuration management and software configuration control are a very big deal and errors occur, I wonder how this "throw it over the fence to the users" approach is going to work out.

Did you find any change/patch notes for those versions? I'd be curious to see what is in them ..

Default There was a bullet list for each update

There was a bullet list associated with each version but I don't have them and I do not recall what they said. In the update process you have to install "web updater" on your PC and complete the first update or the free one time Jeppesen database update cannot be installed. If planned, that is a clever way to get the user into the software update process beyond data base updates.
