Default Tips for building my seat

Its finally time to build the seat for my RV-3. I bought seat foam from Wicks in various densities from soft to hard. I would like the seat to look like something out of a high end sports car. Is it common to build up a foam pattern and send it off to a upholster, or should I attempt to make the pattern myself? Any tips on how to build up the foam pattern?

Thanks.

The minimum number of planes one should own is one. The correct number is n+1, where n is the number of planes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of planes owned that would result in separation from your partner.
