Default How to adjust a SIRS compass?

I can't find the instruction paper for my SIRS compass. I have the adjustment tool but need the "how" to adjust my compass for accuracy once I have it over the airport's compass rose.

Help please.

Choose your product and the installation instructions should get you there. Good Luck.

Webb,

The link didn't specify how...so based on my experience with Zodiac boat compass boards:

1. Align the axis of the aircraft on a compass rose in the north direction.

2. Utilizing a non-magnetic tool, adjust the compass until it reads 360*/000*.

3. Align the aircraft on the compass rose in the south direction.

4. With the non-magnetic tool remove one-half the error.

5. Align the aircraft along all the cardinal and sub-cardinal headings and note the deviations to compile your compass deviation card.

I hope this helps.

Note that the aircraft should be running and all normally used electrical equipment that might have an effect on the compass should be on.

Thanks folks. The East/West adjustment is in the port hole and the North/South is in the starboard hole. Easy enough to fix now.

Amazing all the little squawks to fine tune the during the first 40 hours. At least the TruTrak A/P is dead on the GPS for bearing.
