Default How much to cut the WD-643-SS slider canopy brace?

Hi all:

The holidays and the miserable weather (not as miserable as some places)have been keeping me out of the garage lately but I'm trying to drill and bolt my roll bar and brace today.

I have the roll bar clamped in position and will be drilling it in a few. By eyeball, it looks like I'm going to have to cut off about 1 1/4" from the canopy brace in order for it to fit correctly into the roll bar. This is the one that extends forward from the roll bar and visually splits the windsheild in two. Does this sound like it's in the right ball park?

Thanks

Yes, it sounds about right from my experience. I cut it a little long and just filed it down to fit. Good luck.

I cut a little over an inch off mine. I wanted to keep it as long as possible because it is not easy to drill the 1/4 inch hole in the side to bolt everything together and keep enough edge clearance on the tube and bottom of the support. You might want to grab a few long drills and see how close you can get when drilling as the drill motor hits the roll bar when you get very close.
Hope this helps.
