Default 0.062 molex

Molex says the max current of their .062 series is 5A at 250V.

Since we run 14V, can they go higher current? I wired up my flap circuit last night with a .062 molex and wondering if I should cut them off and step up to the bigger .093 ones.

Flaps are 10A, right?

Default 10A fuse, but not necessarily current consumption

My flap circuit is protected by a 10A fuse. My flap motor drew 800mA with no load. I haven't tested it under air load, but I suspect it's nowhere near 10A, probably under 5A.

Maybe if I can remember to try it, I'll toss an ammeter inline and go fly (once the thunder and lightning cease), and see what the thing draws at Vfe, going to full flaps. Somebody out there must have tried this already.

Talking YEs .093

Hey Scott,
You will definately want the 093's for much of the circutry. I learned on my 6 it was a hassle to keep up with both pin sets and ended up doing it all in .093. Same with the 8. The weight penality is nothing, and ease of use is a factor as well. You will have several circuits needing 093. Just do em all that way.

Best,
Kahuna
