Question Fab Attach Hardware: Use Washers??

I finally tracked down the elusive drilled head 1/4-20 bolts to attach my FAB, but am wondering whether the bolts should have washers. As a general rule, I use washers on which ever fastener is turning against a surface, but in this case I feel like maybe less hardware is better in case the engine gets hungry for some metal.

I used washers with the drilled head bolts. If it is safetied correctly should not have an issue with it coming loose.
