Default Voltage Regulator LR3C and Plane Power Alt.

Am I correct in assuming I do not need the $228 LR3C voltage regulator from B and C specialty if I use a Plane Power Internally regulated alternator?
This would be great if true.

Correct. You only need a voltage regulator like the LR3C for externally regulated alternators.
