Vetterman Vents?

Are these the same part and are they the ones made by vetterman?

I don't think they're the same. The one from Spruce is 1.75" and the one from Vans is only 1.25 inches (disk size). Also, the one from Vans looks like it might be plastic, but it's really hard to tell from the picture.

Thought I would chime in and praise the vents I bought from Stein. They are one of the single best decisions I made when building my 9. I really didn't know how great they were until our weather became chilly, and I started to adjust them to get nice cabin temps. They seal off completely, are ultra high quality, very easy to adjust and control, and look great too. Well worth whatever they cost. RV's have a great ventilation capacity, and the NACA ducts are very effective. Cabin air is pumped in from the propwash during taxi operations, and cockpit stays pretty comfortable. All of this is really moot if you don't get the vents right. Simply put, If you install them,you won't be mad at me for the recommendation!!

Chris, I am assuming you installed the 2 inch vents in your 9. I am going to order these before long and figured the big ones were the ones to get.

Get the large vents from Stein and use the Van's NACA duct. You will have all the air you need. The only time I open mine all the way is on the really hot days. They seal completely on those cold days. Don

Both size vents are machined from aluminum, not plastic. The larger size 1.75" is for slower aircraft like Cubs even though Aircraft Spruce has a misprint on this. The smaller vents 1.25" are for faster aircraft like the RV's. The larger vents used on fast aircraft are noisy and small vents on slower aircraft do not let enough air in, hence the reason for the two sizes.
