Default warning - check your "Slime Fighter" oil water separator

There is a recent post on the So Cal RV list describing an emergency landing by an RV pilot due to smoke in the cabin. All ok, but cause was determined to be the lack of welded joints on the "Slime Fighter" oil water separator that had recently been installed. Note: not poor welding - no welds at all. Apparently it had only been epoxied together.

If you have purchased this product, you may want to inspect it closely, especially if it was a recent purchase.

regards

erich

Not to mention the "slime" fighter puts the "slime" (acid, water, blow by garbage) back in the crankcase instead of outside the motor.

Best thing you can do for the long term heath of your engine is put the slime fighter in the trash barrel.
