Default transponder antenna location

The other day I installed my comm antenna (Comant belly mount, bent). It's located under the legs, next to the control sticks... right of centerline. Shown below is where I'd like to mount my transponder antenna. Does the location look OK? I know they suggest being 3 ft apart and they are. I know they say mount as close to center as possible so it won't be shielded by the aircraft structure in a climb or descent.

Has anyone mounted it here? It's just ahead of the F-707 bulkhead.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Default

That's where my transponder antenna has been for over 12.5 years and it works great.
