Default FF kit

Does Vans FF kit include the following (didnt' see it on the list on their webpage):

1) hardware for mounting the engine - those big rubber things, bolts etc?

2) Battery and alternator?

I think the battery is included...I got one in my FWF kit...

Also, I would delete the rubber mounts and get good one's from Lord...

Smile battery NOT included

Van's did their homework on this one...the battery install kit is included in the FWF kit but not the battery. There is usually quite a time difference between when you get your FWF kit and when you actaully need the battery, so they left it out so you can order it when YOU are ready and get a fresh battey, not one thats been sitting on your shelf for a while...

The fuel pump isn't included either because Van's doesn't know if you are going FI or carb. Same goes for the carb heat muff.

Default options in FF kit

Phil,
you may wish to consider whether to use the engine mounts Van's supplies, or true "Lord" brand mounts.
You may wish to consider whether the oil cooler Van's supplies is the cooler you want - there are other choices.
A search will show threads that discuss the relative merits.

Default Vans does know

what your induction system is because YOU tell them when you order your finish kit so you get the correct cowl. It still bugs me that I had to order the fuel pump and the carb heat assy separately.
Lesson learned: order those item with the other kits.
