MN RV Picnic thru the eyes of a 10yr old
Kate ran off with the camera at the picnic and came up with a few good ones. It was great day, lots of planes, good people and great food.

Was Tom Berge there? I was sitting out on the bench reading some airplane magazines Saturday morning when a yellow RV went zipping over from the northwest... presumably skirting the Class B from somewhere up around Anoka/Crystal area, I figured.

MN Picnic
Pete:
Is this the grass strip that is located quite close to Anoka / Blaine County airport? I good friend of ours (Roger Moberg) took my father and I to a grass strip close to Anoka five years ago to see an RV-7A under construction and the houses in your shots look very similar to that neighborhood. Just curious. I just missed my 25th Bethel College reunion so hopefully I will be able to fly my 9A up for the 20th in five more years...TBD...

Hi Doug
The strip Roger took you to is Lino Airpark, very close to Anoka County. The picnic was at SkyHarbor - just south of the cities near I-35, about 7 miles southwest of Airlake - KLVN.
Give us a shout when you come north.
