Default Our RV-9 Plate Holder

I don't like having a plate holder strapped to my knee, so we came up with idea...a removable chart holder.

There was an old knee board in the hangar from when we used to take the One Design cross country that was just the right size.
Bought a couple of hitch pins with the spring loaded balls on the end, and machined the parts as shown.
Threaded the ends of the hitch pins, and screwed them into a block riveted to the bottom of the clipboard.
It slips in and out very easy, and is firm enough to write on.

Gotta be doing something now that the plane is finished or I'll be working on the two year "honey do" list at home if she finds out it is!!!
(only kidding, she's great, and flies with me all the time)
Smiles
Jack
