Stainless Braided Brake Lines
Where is the place to go for stainless braided brake lines? These are going inside my airplane. I was going to use race car lines or off road truck lines over aircraft stuff to save some money. Anybody have any suggestions?

What size?
What size do I use? -4 or -3? The plans use 1/4" aluminum lines for the hard line portions. So for the soft line portion what size should I order?
Thanks

I would also put a 12" length of ss hose at the brake calipers to faciliate removing the calipers. I just picked mine up at a local speed shop in Denver. Cut plastic tubing to length for each piece and took them to the shop. I was going to have them made but the shop had pre-manufactured lenghts that were close enough. Worked out great. I am not at home but believe it is #4.

I believe that if you call Bonaco, they have premade kits already measured for each of the RV models. I know they have them for the 7/8/9/10 models. He probably has the 6 models too.

Brake lines
Im building a Lancair 360. I will need different lengths than the RV but the -4 or -3 should be the same. Im thinking they are -4 but wanted to see what others are using.

Earlier this year I built a set of hoses for my RV6 and used -4 stainless braided hose and AN-like fittings from the local speed shop. They really turned out nicely --they run from the bulkhead fitting at the firewall all the way to the caliper. There is enough slack at the caliper to permit easy servicing of the brakes.
