Default Hurricane watch

If any of you guys on the MS or LA coasts need shelter, we've got 2 bedrooms & several airbeds, plus shelter for several RV-size a/c.

We are just north of Jackson MS at MS71.

Give me a call if we can help.

Default Thanks for the offers

You all are great folks to offer hangar space, even a place to stay. Barb and I live just to the east of Gustav's path as it goes into Louisiana. North of Lafayette by 20 miles. We are 70 feet elevation - a lot by Louisiana standard. Our parish has a voluntary evacuation where all of them south of I-10 have the word mandatory stuck to it instead. New Orleans should be a ghost town by now.

By the time it gets to us it should be no more than 85 mph (Cat 1). I boarded up a south window and have more material ready for the front door if need be. Our 6 is in a well-built common hangar and we hope for the best. All the neighbors are staying and so far nobody in Opelousas is flying out. I feel for those in the parishes south of us though.

Again, thanks for the offers.
